Bad weekend for Swartland teamsWesbank Eyes Home Victory Comeback as Boland Top 12 Campaign Nears Crucial Stage By Nande Mpahlwa It wasn't a good weekend for both Swartland rugby teams following their second loss consecutively in a Boland Top 12 league. Wesbank had a tough encounter against Botrivier where they lost 37-14 however the club is hoping to turn tables on their two home game in hand currently.     By Nande Mpahlwa 1May 2025 After the Taxi Association forbids contract drivers, commuters in Malmesbury stage a boycott.       Residents in Malmesbury were surprised to hear that the Malmesbury Taxi Association will stop offering rides for people who do not have contracts. This change will take effect on May 1, 2025.   In an interview with Radio 7441 Media, the Association explained that they make transportation contracts directly with companies. These contracts help transport their employees. From now on, all companies must sign written agreements with the Association to provide rides for their staff. The decision to stop services for those without contracts is part of a plan to reorganize. It is not meant to hurt or exclude anyone in the community.   12KILLED IN Bus Accident kalbaskraal By Nande Mpahlwa 6 October 2022 A terrible road accident occurred between a bus and a huge tree on the 6 th of October 2022 in the morning between kalbaskraal and Atlantis. The driver of the bus was drunk and driving recklessly which resulted in the collision. Near about 12 people killed and 13 injured in a strange accident when the bus stuck to a huge tree at 4am in kalbaskraal highway near Atlantis due to the break problem of the bus.   The super express bus coming from Malmesbury and bound to Atlantis suddenly stuck to a huge tree. The accident was very horrible. The front part of the bus was completely damaged. Many people could not understand as they were in sleep. The driver of the bus who escaped unhurt told to have lost control as the break failed. The bud was carrying 6 passengers. It started at 9am in Mandalay Primary school sport ground. The school organized a number of competitions for the annual sports day like ling jump, pole vault, 100m and baby marathon running. The separate section for different events and track boundaries had been drawn with white line. The whole playground             had been decorated with flags buntings and balloons a day earlier.
